Visit Nethy Bridge and the surrounding villages and stay in bed & breakfast accommodation:
Nethy Bridge, Highland, is a small residential and holiday village on a tributary of the Spey on the back road from Grantown-on-Spey to Coylum Bridge and the Cairngorms. Strategically sited for sporting activities (climbing, walking, fishing, and skiing), it also has a nine-hole golf course adjoining the hotel. Considerable conifer forests extend on the high ground behind the village. In the 18th century, timber from this area was floated down the Nethy Burn to the Spey at Broomhill and from there in rafts down the Spey to Garmouth on the Moray coast. Local timber was also used for smelting iron brought from the Lecht.
