Visit Cairndow and the surrounding villages and stay in bed & breakfast accommodation:
Cairndow, Argyll and Bute. Formerly called Kilmorich, which is the parish name, Cairndow is a township that stands at the West end of Glen Kinglas just below the present road. It is farther West and downwards from the celebrated Rest and be Thankful on the road from Loch Long to Inveraray. Nearby is Ardkinglass estate, devoted to sheep-farming and cattle-rearing. Ardkinglass House is a modern mansion built by the well-known Scottish architect Sir Robert Lorimer, who was responsible for the world-famous war memorial on the summit of the Castle Rock at Edinburgh. In the neighbourhood are some celebrated falls on the River Fyne.
