Visit Renfrew and the surrounding villages and stay in bed & breakfast accommodation:
Renfrew, Renfrewshire, is the county town of the shire, though Paisley is the administrative centre. This ancient royal burgh, dating from a charter given to it in 1396 by King Robert III, gives the title of Baron Renfrew to the Prince of Wales. It was the scene of a battle in 1164 when Malcolm IV defeated and killed Somerled, Lord of the Isles.
