Visit Beith and the surrounding villages and stay in bed & breakfast accommodation:
Beith, North Ayrshire. Before the Union of Parliaments in 1707, this was a place of no size or importance, but early in the 18th century it became the centre of a woollen and then a linen and silk industry. Beith sits high near the northern boundary of North Ayrshire and looks more to Paisley and Glasgow than to the towns farther South. It is on the Glasgow—Ardrossan road, about 11 miles from Paisley.
